Home Protection Program
FAQs
Is a 'Home Care Visit' the same as a Home Inspection?
No. The TKO Home Care Visit is a preventative maintenance and repair assessment for homeowners. It is not a real-estate home inspection, appraisal, engineering evaluation, code inspection, or specialized trade inspection.
What happens if you find something that needs to be repaired?
We'll document the concern and explain our recommendation. If the repair falls within TKO Customz's scope of work, you can request an estimate. If specialized expertise is needed, we'll recommend that the appropriate qualified professional evaluate the condition.
Does joining guarantee that my home won't need major repairs?
No. The TKO Home Care Visit is a preventative maintenance and repair assessment for homeowners. It is not a real-estate home inspection, appraisal, engineering evaluation, code inspection, or specialized trade inspection.
Does my membership include emergency or after-hours service?
No. The Home Protection Program does not include emergency, after-hours, or guaranteed same-day service. Member priority scheduling applies to routine service, maintenance, estimates, and repair work during normal TKO Customz business hours and is subject to availability.
Does the technician perform any maintenance or repairs during my Home Care Visit?
Yes. Your Home Care Visit includes minor preventative maintenance and simple safety adjustments that can reasonably be completed during the scheduled visit. If our technician notices something such as a loose handrail that simply needs tightening, a loose piece of hardware, a minor adjustment, or a small area of deteriorated caulking that can be quickly corrected, we'll take care of it while we're there whenever possible. Repairs requiring significant labor, materials, specialized equipment, or additional time are not included in the annual visit. Those items will be documented in your Home Care Report, and if the work falls within TKO Customz's scope, we can provide an estimate for the recommended repair.
What is TKO Gives Back?
A portion of the Home Protection Program supports TKO Gives Back, our community assistance initiative. TKO uses designated program funds to help provide qualifying home repairs or maintenance assistance to local community members in need. Home Protection members may also have the opportunity to nominate someone for consideration.
Is my membership transferrable if I decide to sell my home?
Yes. Your home maintenance records can be gifted to the new homeowner upon the sale of your home. Simply give us a call or send us an email, and we will update your records in our system.
